I really need to make this

Those who know my quilt making style know that I don't tend to use patterns. I work out an image in my head of what the quilt will be, and then I travail toward that end. Sometimes it doesn't work, most of the time, though, the quilt on the bed was the quilt in the head. ;o)

Every now and again, I get a quilt in my head that DEMANDS to be made. Those quilts materialize in my brain exactly as they need to be, and they stay there, front and center, until they are finished. I've made several quilts like that - my crib strippy was one. My blue work for Oma was another. It's up to me to make the quilt match the image in my brain. And it's not always easy! Sometimes, as with the bluework, it's not even something I thought I'd even remotely like! Well, I fear I've been assaulted once again, and that soon I will give in and make the Thousand Pyramid quilt that's been circling my cranium for a while now. It's getting a little obnoxious. ;o)

Resolution time: I will try to maintain some semblence of order in my sewing room, so that I can maintain some sense of order in my kitchen. I sew, now, in the kitchen. I have a room downstairs that should be my sewing room. It has my fabric, it has a beautiful view, a sewing machine lives down there. It has a comfy chair for sewing, and another comfy chair for reading. It even has a quilt frame and a hoop on a stand. It also has 2 air conditioning units, parts for a desk, a freezer, toys, the hose for the central vac, 8 Rubbermaid totes full of stuff that's not mine. In short, the room has become the dump. Again.
