I'm okay with that

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date! And I'm okay with that. I *could* knock myself out later today after the new washer is delivered, getting the 2 quilts washed, dryish and blocked, then fan dried and hurried into a box to be priority mailed for Christmas delivery. I could, but I won't. I am officially extending the Christmas holiday for at least a few extra days to save myself a few dollars in postage, and more importantly, a whole load of stress. What's the point? Who's going to be impressed with my ability to mail something on time? And if someone *is* impressed, do I really care? Nopedy, nope nope. Today I will, however, get together the box for mom and for grandma and get those to the post office. That much I can do. Maybe I'll write some Christmas cards, too.

This weekend I would like to find the time to put together a table runner for a teacher at Simon's school. She asked, and I'm more than happy to do it for her - she's a wonderful person and always appreciative of anything that people do for her. She's a treasure and I consider myself lucky to have her in my life.
