Happy solstice! It's winter, now, for the next three months (unless you live in Vermont where it's already been winter for a month, and will continue to be winter until at least April.) It's the shortest day of the year, or for those romantics among us, the longest night. In either case, this calls for candy! Lots of it!
White Chocolate Peppermint Bark, Semisweet Peppermint Bark, and White Chocolate Bark with dried Cranberries. All in old-timey canning jars I picked up for 10¢ each at the thrift store. Pretty, no?

Thanks for providing a link to this blog on about.com, Dorothy. I've really enjoyed reading it and have bookmarked it so I can treat myself. Bless you for helping out the family who needs it. And that Carpenter's Star is just gorgeous!

I saved your sun in the trees as a desktop photo...I can just sit here and gaze at the sun with out hurting my eyeballs. Thank You! Also did you see I altered the sunset photo that you cropped???
