I woke up this morning to a face so completely swollen that my eyes were barely slits. I also had a nosebleed. Still haven't figured out what that was all about, perhaps I'm mildly allergic to something I ate? I dunno. I had a sudden brief ITCHY! rash on my forearms about 10 last night, that receded almost as fast as it started, then this swelled head this morning. It's mostly gone now, thank goodness, since I had to drive Tori to the orthodontist this morning.
I used a different chicken sausage in the soup last night (yummy, but not as good as with the peppery sausage.) It's organic chicken, but maybe something in the spices. I should sheck for MSG - brb - nope, unless it's hidden in the "natural green pepper flavouring." The rest of the soup was scratch - chicken stock from the carcass in the freezer, cannellini beans (maybe in them?), barley, spinach. Could have been the olives I had at lunch, I guess, though I've eaten them before without incident. Or the bite of a peanut butter cup (I know, I know) I had at Simon's basketball game. I've eaten peanuts since I was a child, though, so I doubt that one. Maybe something in them, though. I'll pay attention the next time I have chocolate or peanut butter and see if I react at all.
That itchy rash last night made me put down the quilting I was doing (see, this post IS, eventually, quilt relevant) but got done to the second corner. Once I get that little bit done I'll be halfway 'round the last border. Binding, hanging sleeve and DONE!
I've not worked on Amanda's quilt since those 25 blocks got done. I will, maybe tomorrow. I have to dig through my scraps for "solids" to coordinate with the tartans. Tori enjoys doing that, maybe I'll recruit her for the procurement step, then just do the cutting and sewing myself. But not today, I have to go shopping. Pity me. ;o)

Sorry it's happening to you, because I have gone thru a terrible time in the last 2 years. I deveoped an allergy to tomatoes about overnight.
All kinds of things can set you off, and I find the older I get, the smaller the factor before "an incident". My friends brought some pistachios back from their homeland...within an hour of ingestion I was itching head to toe. I'm NOT allergic to nuts but evedently their nuts have some herbacide...or aren't processed the same as ours...something.
Now I am suffering again, and I just don't get this one...other than I've changed climates and my bod is revolting with the worst case of spotchiness, I guess from lack of moisture?
Keep fresh benedryl on hand, I take a double initial dose per my physician's orders, and follow-up with normal dosage directions thereafter.
Keep notes about what you think it was, or the odd things you ate yesterday. It'll keep it much easier to isolate!
