I had a mammogram today. Holy CRAP it hurt! I heeded my mom's advice and abstained from caffeine for the couple of days before. That was hard, but probably worth it. I didn't scream, I didn't cry, but my-oh-my, it hurt! The sweet technician that did the scan said they are scheduled to get one of the "gentler" machines. Next week. Thanks, I'll let you know after the next one just how much I appreciate it.
edit - Results came today (WOW!) and all's clear. Yahoo! Now for those teeth...
I went through the drive through at McDonald's to get something to bring home for the boys, and for me? Nuthin'! I was more than content with the apple (Pink Lady) and pear (Asian) I picked up at the market. Swung past the dairy on the way home, got some yogurt and cheese for me, some chocolate milk for Daniel, a gallon of 1% for cereal. Plus eggs and ricotta - less than $10 and you don't get fresher. I love living here and being able to shop fresh. I'm sure if I lived somewhere else I'd get fresh *whatever* there, too. I'm aiming to eat closer to source. If I can look out the store window and see the cows that produced the milk I'm buying? Well, it doesn't get much closer to source than that. :o)
