Done and doner

well, almost. My Christmas Nesting Robin. It's not done, but the hand quilting is (and my fingers are too!) The center star still doesn't thrill me, I may have to do a little more quilting in there, but it's as done as it's going to get, for now. It needs a rinse and blocking before I bind it. I ended up doing that last border with an embroidery hoop so, while it isn't puckered, it needs a little coaxing back into square.
And...
Forty five blocks for Amanda's quilt. Needs more red. MUCH more red. My favourite blocks? 2nd row, first from the left. That's the first block I made, and I love it! And top row, second from the right. It's red maple leaves on a white field, with a (I think) MacDonald tartan knot. It's my Canadian block (maple leaves everyone knows, Sir John A. MacDonald - first Prime Minister of Canada.)
