Dietfacts - look up the nutrition information for what you're eating, and (the COOLEST part) click the button to have it added as a custom food to FitDay! Should I confess that what I was looking up was *ahem* Junior Mints? Nah..

Thanks for the link (though I didn't see the button for FitDay)... still doesn't help me...It does give listings for commercially made foods, but not for the things you make that aren't in the FitDay program. FD has promised a major update for years... I've just given up on it ever happening.
