My daughter, the decorator

So who on earth matches celery coloured towels with a brick red mat and an orangey-salmon circa 1972 shower curtain in a grey tiled pine ceiling'd tiny little bathroom and makes it work? Certainly not me. But my colour-gifted daughter. Oh, baby yes.

We bought the new curtain first, because the old one with dolphins was "stupid." Well, it was also old and a couple of the grommet things at the top were failing, so sure. We had to stop at Sears this morning anyway because the school lunchroom needed a new microwave that didn't blow food up (true story) so I turned her loose. Well she reappears a few minutes later with this 70s looking Ty Pennington curtain from the clearance table.

The curtain most definitely did not go with the blue and green mat that was there before, so a new mat was in order. Is there ANY red in that curtain? Nope. But it seemed to work (and she seemed to be so happy with being allowed to go her way on this) so, fine. Whatever. Next, well, the blue (Daniel), green (Tori) and orange (Simon) towels most definitely didn't work, and oh look, those are ON SALE! Fine. Less than $35 total and that little 3 kid bathroom looks so elegant! (and I made them clean it before they got their new stuff. I'm no dummy!)

I think it is great that you let Tori decorate the kids' bathroom. I like it.
