Oh what a beautiful morning...

Great day today. First off, notice please, my happy little ladybug heading toward the end of my ticker. Thank you very much! :o)

I've got clothes on the clothesline for the first time this year, and I not only turned the soil in my *ahem* cold frame, I planted some buttercrunch lettuce and some spinach. Yummy! It's a little too early to plant anything else, maybe carrots or some peas. They involve a little heavier digging, maybe I'll do a bit each day this week - get it prepared for planting next week. That'll work. I did notice, though, that my new-last-year strawberries have survived. 3 months until fresh berries. 6 of 'em. ;o)

Daniel and I drove to Middlebury for some errands, parked the car and walked to do them. Beautiful day for a walk! We'll walk to meet Simon after school, maybe head up to Main Street for a cup of tea or cocoa too. Everything here in our teenytiny town is within a fairly easy walk and today, that is what we shall do.

Oh! And checking the mail we got an acceptance letter - Daniel will be attending the better preschool in town starting in September. Oh, what a great day!
