Top's done!

A poor picture, no doubt, but there's most of it. I've gotta trade my two older kids in for some taller ones with more patience. "Just one more," is supposed to be met with exhuberance, or at least enthusiasm, not "C'mon, my arms are getting tired!"

I'll pin this up to a beam, this afternoon and get a full shot, then pack it up and send it off to the quilter. Oh wait. Backing. Shoot. I'll have to see if there's anything down in the basement I can use, otherwise I'll have to wait until I can get into town to shop. Next week, I suspect.

*edit* That's a new picture - I traded those rotten kids for 5 pushpins and a pine ceiling beam. ;o) That's the whole thing, all 99 blocks. I've got two left over, though. I was sure I counted and recounted and recounted correctly. Apparently not. No prob, one can be the label.

Duncan's next. I'll going to have to do a little sketching, I think, to figure out how to do what I'm planning. In the meantime, Marcia's now got TWO blocks waiting for me. I'll get those done first.

Very Cool looking quilt! I am sure your niece will love it!

Congrats on your weight loss too. . .every pound gets you closer to your goal. You are really very pretty and I can hardly wait to see the new you--it may be scary but life is like that sometimes. You can face your fears and move forward. I know you can!

Very nice quilt. Kids can be so co-operative at times. Keep posting the pics and sharing with us.

That's so neat that you're one of the pattern testers for the Quilter's Cache. Are you allowed to give sneak peaks? ;)

Thanks everyone, for the kind words, AND the tartans, from a couple of you! I have a large (huge) piece of red tartan that someone sent me that I thought would be perfect for the backing. When I pulled it out of the bag, it literally crumbled in my hands in places. I guess, sob, I'll have to go buy something.
