Taking the "weigh" off

I'm not going to step on the scale tomorrow.

It's been quite a week - I was physically assaulted more than once by a carrot cake. It's TRUE! I swear - jumped right out at me, repeatedly! I had to eat it into submission. 2 pieces, that's all, but carrot cake is incredibly high in fat and so I'm happy to see it gone. Birthdays are over for the season and I'm glad. I don't need that kind of temptation.

Got some gardening done, prep work, since it's too early to plant much. Weeding, edging, raking. Since I knew Scott wouldn't get to it, I took the blade off the tractor and put on the mower deck, and then he cut the grass. Lots of heavier work this week as well, hauling big rocks for a raised bed. Even a couple of 60-70 pounders, and it felt good not to be so out of shape that doing jobs like this was actually possible. There's still more to do, always more to do, but I'm pretty happy with the amount we accomplished this week.

What I didn't do this week, though, is walk. With the kids off school, scheduled to the eyeballs, we drove more than walked, and I don't feel good about that. I can't afford the lack of activity, and the lack of "head straightening" time, and I won't even start on the price of gas!
