NPD

"In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May."

huh

Well, okay, today is National Prayer Day. I'm not a pray-er, I'm not a church-goer or a follower of organized religion of any fashion, but I'm absolutely fine with anyone offering up any sort of message they like to the Higher Power of their own choosing. If I were, though, the praying type I mean, I suspect my requests might be a little different from those of many of this country's more well known pray-ers.

Let's see,
instead of Victory, howzabout we seek Resolution.
Instead of Prosperity, Equity.
Instead of Perseverance, Patience.
Instead of Strength, Compassion.
Instead of Vengence, Justice.
Instead of Righteousness, Respect.
Instead of Authority, Tolerance.

Too much to ask? Nah...
