A little bit of me time

Okay, Fitz, here ya go. Yesterday I chose to walk twice when driving would have been easier - 1/2 hour to and from the post office, and 1/2 hour to and from the Middle School to talk to Tori's home room teacher. I also went to bed at 10, instead of the 11:30 it's been lately (though I woke up at 3:15 so I'm not sure how worth it that was) and I painted my toenails. Pretty, yes? Well, as pretty as these crusty dogs get, anyway.
The post office trip was a necessary. Scott is a voracious reader - something (clutter maybe?) finally pushed him to get rid of the books he's finished reading so I've been madly listing them on Amazon.com. $80+ so far and there's still a huge stack of books to go.

That trip to the middle school - the other teacher on the team is pregnant and the class is planning a shower for her in the fall. I prepared 60 2 1/2"x6 1/2" strips of a white on white print to become the center of a basket weave (rail fence?) baby quilt.

And the toes - well, I washed the floor and it looked so nice, I thought it'd be a real shame to tromp across it with those nasty chipped toes I had going before. Yeah, that's it. Not really - I just like having pretty toes peeking out of my sandals. Nothing wrong with that.

And...
Tori has resisted the sewing bug, and instead expresses her creativity with beads. Her style is pretty young, which is fine. SHE is pretty young, so it works. I don't have ANY kind of patience for beads - not stringing them, not buying them, not spending h-o-u-r-s shopping for them. Scott has a pretty cerebral job. Not especially creative though, and he's a creative kinda guy, so he took up the role of co-beader. I think he enjoys it more than she does! Just about every morning I wake up to some new piece. This one is yesterday's (and check out those collarbones, baybee!) Too much for me, but I guess someone might like it.

My earrings today are a pair he made a while ago. One of the teachers at school this morning asked if they had liquid in them. NO! God, I don't think I could wear liquid-filled earrings - too 70s disco. I'd need to find some of those goldfish platform shoes to wear with them!

1) WHAT did you eat today?
2) Did you drink your water?
3) Daily requirement of fruits/veggies & fiber?

OMG, you have purdy feet. I have GROSS ones, I don't paint them, I don't want to EVER draw attention to them!

Please think some good words for me, I have WAY too much to do on this commission piece that's due Thursday at 4:30pm...*yawn*. I have 2.5 hours available tonight and about the same tomorrow night, yuck.

Be kind to yourself, I'm checking up on you!

Breakfast: fruit salad and 1/2 a cinnamon raisin multigrain bagel

Lunch: big salad, whole wheat wrap (10 grams of fiber, 110 calories!) with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes. Watermelon and cherries

Supper: 1/2 chicken quesadilla, Ceasar salad, glass of chardonnay (dinner meeting, all yummy)

water through the day, snack - a handful of baked wheat crackers.

That's it!

Thanks for the comps on my feet. I once had someone ask if I was a foot model. A loooooong time ago.

And I'm sending all good, productive, Artistically Genius thoughts your way. I saw the pic on your blog - I love it!
