Beauty and the Beast

It's been busy here again, but nothing quilty (knitty, cook-y) to show off. Tori made strawberry jam this morning. Beautiful, huh? The mess she left, not so much. But maybe I'll make some biscuits tomorrow for breakfast and we'll forget that.

And the beastly part of this post? I've had a small cyst on my back for close to 12 years, the site of my first (series), second (single) and third (spinal, actually) epidural. So, hey, I really CAN blame my kids. And, technically my husband too, for getting me into that position to begin with!

Anyway this thing has decided of late that it aspires to greater things and has been ... growing. I don't want to interfere with the digestion of any of the four of you who might be reading, so if you really think you'd like to see it, click this lovely picture below of the Appalachian Gap, near Fayston, Vermont. Pretty, huh? My back? Not so much. I've made an appointment to have it removed (hopefully!) but can't get in before the end of August unless there's a cancellation sooner. I'll take it - this thing actually hurts! A lot!!

Can't you just put some Windex on it like in the movies?

That looks like a pimple...don't guess you could try to get rid of it like one huh?

It's not a pimple, or a boil. It's hard, and about 2 inches across. There's no pus, no fluid of any sort. Scott said it winked at him last night. Windex... haven't tried that yet.

You know I was referring to that movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" with the Windex comment...right?

Looks like it'll keep on growing, so best to get it before it gets you.

Much better [if something that large could be better] location than some elses was. Imagine that between your Twin Cheeks!
