The 4th of July is not my holiday (scroll down a few days) but I love a good party and parade as much as the next guy. Our tiny town holds our celebration the evening before, July 3rd, and we watched the pyrotechnics from friends' deck. They bought that house just about a year ago, and I was quick to point out how great their view of the fireworks would be. hint, hint! At the (big! almost 60 people) party Tuesday night, Laura remembered it as her husband Todd's observation, and far be it from me to take the blame, er.. credit. ::grin::
Good pictures, huh? My little Pentax Optio with an upturned flowerpot (yes, empty!) for a tripod. I'm impressed!
This morning we went a few towns over to catch the small town parade. Nothing like a couple dozen tractors and a couple of little princesses towed by daddy's pickup truck to let you know it's a holiday!

I'd like to have a truck like that big red one.
Oops, tractor. You can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl.
