Butterbugs

I sewed for far longer than an hour yesterday, but look! I got all of the butterflies stitched down. I don't know what to do about their little bodies yet - the pattern suggests fusible bias tape, but I have none, and I'm not driving into town to get it. Maybe I'll just do a satin stitch down the belly and see what that looks like. I have one of these that I stitched onto a 6" square - I guess I could try it there and see. Button heads, Stem Stitch antennae, and the corner triangles will finish these cuties up, then on to my row.

What I didn't do yesterday was anything else on my 60 Minutes List. Here's today's (though I don't hold oout much promise that I'll do anything beyond finishing up those bugs.)

60 Minutes of Stitching

Trim and add corners to butterflies
binding onto Duncan's quilt
6 string blocks

And yesterday's FitDay commitment? I um, forgot by lunchtime. Trying again today.

Those are cute litle butterbugs. I never saw that pattern before. I like your idea of satin stitching the body, think it would be better than bias tape. Don't forget the little feelers...I think that's what they're called.
