What happens when the temperature drops from 97 to 73 in 5 minutes? Dunno? (that's my cute boyfriend offering the visual) Well, your head explodes, or at least feels like it's going to. We had an incredible, fast storm blow through here about an hour ago - 50 mph winds, horizontal rain (3 inches in 15 mintes!), thunder, lightning, hail. We were at the pool, heard the thunder, and were in the van just a minute or so before the storm hit. Within 15 minutes it was over again, and now the temp's back up to 90ยบ but oh my! It was pretty spectacular for a few minutes.
My head still hurts, and we're now under Flash Flood, Severe Thunderstorm, and Heat Advisory Alerts. But the cable didn't go out, so that's a good thing. ;o)
And for those looking for a little sewn contibution here ya go - the quilt would be 60" x 75" now if it was sewn together. I made my requisite 4 string blocks today and pieced another 4 chunks. They go together fast enough, I think I'm going to have to beef up my string production, though, maybe 6 a day?

Another no power nite for 4 hours. The dog was getting heat sick twice yesterday, after lunch I put her in my bedroom with the AC til the power went out, then after work I gave in and we sat in the car for a half hour cause she wasn't looking too comfy.Took her 20 mins to stop panting hard. There was always the dark basement, Dan's, or a motel as a last resort. She can stay in the bedroom today too while I am outta here. Was hoping that storm would blow our way, nope, but it looked headed to you~
