The pool closed last Friday. They've already drained it and put away the lifeguard stands.
Here in Vermont, soft ice cream is called a creemee. The creemee stand is across the road and maybe 50 steps down the sidewalk from my house, right next to the Exxon station. The green sign in the window announces it's imminent closure for the season, Sunday at 8. That's probably not such a bad thing, if ya catch my drift.
Last chance for a burger and onion rings until next June. They shut down the grill September 10.
My favourite season is upon us, followed by my second, and third favourites. It's a little sad to see summer go, though. I'll miss the green.

Boy, you guys really roll up the sidewalks after Labor Day.
Pretty scary to have a creemee shop so close to home. Love the photo, BTW. Nice perspective.
Yeah, the only time I visited Vermont was in October, and just about everything was closed!
