I'm a chunkin' monkey! I have all the quiltable sized segments of the string quilt together. I think, though, before I go any further (ie, layering, basting, jumping feet first into the quilting) that I will baste them loosely together and test drive the size on my bed. Better to know NOW that it needs to be bigger, yes?
Daniel, my baby, starts preschool this morning. Nervous? Oh yeah, big time butterflies - my hands are shaking! Oh wait, you meant him? Nah. He's been living for this moment forever. Right now he's playing trains with his yogurt. Eat it? Why on earth would anyone eat? The boy survives on 3 cheerios and a kiss most days.

When my then youngest started preschool, I was nervous. Then I thought about the fact that the oldest would start middle school on the same day as the youngest started kindergarten this year. Well, I decided I couldn't have all my kids starting new schools at the same time, so we had another one. And now another one...
Find something fun to do today.
My oldest will be a high school sophomore the day Daniel starts kindergarten. I will be on the PTO forever.
I'm afraid thoughts of your(undoubtedly wonderful) string quilt flew out my window when I saw the picture you posted of Daniel, all shiney and smiley. Gonna be a heart breaker, that one.
Have the greatest day ever in school, young man! Paint Mommy a big, red picture. Alexis
If ever anyone looked ready for his first BIG day it's Daniel!Boy that went so fast...have a fun few hours for you! Was he all chatty when he got home?
Give Daniel a big smooshy kiss from all of us! Oh yeah, PTO is wonderful...except there's always that "wonderful" telephone, lol.
My youngest were twins. I was just as happy as they were when I dropped them off for their first day of preschool. It was heaven finally having a few hours of peace to myself.
I can't believe Daniel is getting so big. Seems like just yesterday that we were all waiting on his arrival
What a cutie! Give him some kisses for me.
