Whatchu lookin' at?!

Does it mean we'll have a cold winter if the grey squirrels are REALLY fat and obnoxious? 'Cause if it does, we will. This guy, eating a pear while balanced in the Nannyberry is bigger than a ferret, almost the size of a house cat! There's a bunch of them here, and they chase and scold each other, and eat constantly. They finished burying stuff in the garden a while ago, though they do still sock away the occasional butternut or pear (yea, like THAT'll keep) but mostly they seem to eat.

And here, what you're looking at is the neutral "quilt" that soon will be no more. My original thought been just squares and squares and squares, "tied" at the intersections with interesting buttons. That idea no longer appeals, and since there's ony four 16 block panels done, taking it apart will be a no-brainer. Easiest dash to the finish line in a while!

Soooo, are you going to add some black to that nice mix of neutrals to make them pop into something else gorgeous?

Black? no, no popping for these. For the time being they'll just go into the pit, but I do have an idea starting. It'll have to wait, though, probably until after the new year.

Well... more power to ya! embroidery... applique. Sounds like your style (and very pretty.) But not for me. You'll see.
