On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me
Twelve birthday candles
Eleven politicians!
Ten happy piggies
Nine watery hours
Eight affirmations
Seven empty dishes
Six hours of snow
Five o'clock!
Four good ideas
Three feet of knitting
Two bags of trash
and a headlamp so I can see!
And that, whew, is that! My cake isn't as pretty as the one from my post earlier, but yum! 43 is a prime number, so no handy dandy fraction thereof to use, and I don't want to set the smoke alarm off by using all those candles. 12 was how many were in this particular box of candles in the cupboard.
I can't wait until dinner. Diet Schmiet, it's my birthday. Prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and THAT for dessert. I've been careful about what I eat today, it's 4:30 and my water's all in there for the day, and I am going to enjoy every single bite.
(And don't ya love that platter? In the middle (under the cake) it says "Happy Everything!" Absolutely.
