This thing's FLYING together! I may need to tie on a rope and scour the depths for more of the checks, I'm sure I have some somewhere. It's a Debbie Mumm standard at Wally World, worse comes to worst I'll grab another yard. I think all it'll get is a check border all the way arond, then pink binding. It's (fingers, fingers, toes...) 41"x55.5" right now, we're almost out of wallhanging and into lap quilt territory. Eep! Who'd want a lap full of boobs? Ne'ermind. ;o) Scott only saw me working on the sashing, the boobies were all tucked safely out of Simon's sight, and asked if I was working on some rad 80's quilt. ::snicker::
I checked out 2 of the next-town-over thrift stores today for some cheapo embellishments - necklaces (specifically a pucca shell one), maybe a little pacifier charm, some pearls... no luck, but I did find some really cute sundae dishes and a US military mess kit that the boys can use "camping" this summer. The embellishment will wait until the quilting (just SID), perhaps even the binding is done. I'm thinking those pink corner stones beg for some breast health affirmations, too, one of which will be "It's what's INSIDE that counts." As has been my plan from the start (in OMG March of 2002!), Ellie Mae there in the middle of the second from bottom row has a lump in her breast. Barely feel-able, un-see-able. What is (or better yet isn't) inside is what counts.

I love it! Is the block pattern available? I think you have said before, but I forgot. I may have some old necklaces I could send you for embellishments. Want me to check?
I am pretty sure I have a puka shell necklace and I have strands of pearls too. What else do you need? I have some funky 80s necklaces that I bought for embellishments and haven't used. Just let me know.
yeah, I'm pretty sure I have a puka (is that how it's spelled?) necklace around here too. Before you all start sending me jewellry, let me see what I can find here. Thanks, though!
I have a few I was thrift storing anyway....
