This was yesterday, about 5 pm, looking out the kitchen window at the front yard. There's a driveway somewhere just right of the middle of this picture, and a laneway where the snowline meets the treeline. Or so they tell me...
I was inside, having given up any thought of trying to keep ahead of the snow. This shot, out Scott's office window bears witness to the incredible diversity of pine. Its boughs have remarkable elastic strength of and their lumber looks really good around windows. ;o)
And now for the after shots...
There's a full sized picnic table under there. The lighter coloured lines on the snow? Sunrise! SUN rise! Shortly after this I had to tromp through that hip deep snow and un-bury the dryer vent (so I could dry the jeans I soaked through tromping through the hip deep snow un-burying the dryer vent.)
Around town...
I guess someone's had enough. Truck's heading north though, maybe they're looking for MORE snow.
This kinda speaks for itself, huh?
I guess a CLOSED sign would be redundant.
And back home again (I had to go out to rescue Tori from the Tuesday night sleepover she was stranded at.) No one wider than the blade of the shovel can get to the front door.

well..you WERE wishing for snow for the winter...you just got the whole shebang all at once!
brrr..
it's supposed to get to 85 here tomorrow...
It's just lovely in pictures. Keep posting them, that way I don't miss it so much. I just like to LOOK at it now, lol.
Stay safe please!
The snow is very light and powdery (at least, as it fell - drifted snow is more packed, plowed snow more icy) so no snowmen, snowforts, snowballs. Also, no school. Again. I can't iamgine 85 in February - that's just not natural.
Holy Smoke! Incredible.
Wow.. now THAT's what Vermont should look like ! What was that you were saying earlier about global warming?
We have finally dug out of our snow. I had to dig a path for the dogs so they could get off of the porch. The snow came up well over my knees. I would say it was a good 24". The first day of spring is next month isn't it?
