My holders are now up, so I've got a better(ish) picture. The quilt is too heavy to hang from my usual cafe curtain rings/eyehooks rig up, and it's too big to spread anywhere flat without moving furniture. I guess I *could* take a picture on the bed, but I still won't get all of it with the side drops and such. Oh well. Done. And that makes me happier than I could have possibly guessed.

There is nothing like the drama and unexpected sparkle of a string quilt. Just beautiful! Enjoy. Alexis
that is fan-tab-ulous!
You out-did yourself this time!
It's just stunning Dorothy. I'd love to see a pic on the bed tho, lol.
You'll hug yourself (at least get a smug smirk) every time you walk into that room!
Dorothy, your quilt is beautiful. We enjoyed keeping tabs on your progress. Good for you.
Yay! Done is GOOD! Gorgeous quilt, too. Love it. Ya done good.
Gorgeous string quilt, Dorothy! Can we see it on the bed, too? What size are the blocks?
I especially love the kids' faces peeking over the top, and the kitty's face at the bottom...
EXCELLENT!! Love it! Yes, take a picture of it on the bed. Maybe a close up of a block you like too! As Napoleon Dynamite would say, it is FLIPPIN' SWEEEEET!
Thanks all. I couldn't have done it without you. *meah!*
I'll take a pic on the bed in a bit - it had a run through the washer, it's in the dryer right now. Thing weighs a ton dry. Wet? Holy moly!
Dianne, those kids are almost as tall as me, and are standing on the kitchen counter. The cat was just looking for a place to lie down - he'd been up for close to a half hour, poor thing.
Perfect timing in this weather! It's spectacular, you did a fantastic amount of work on it! One everyone can snuggle under!
I've never met a string quilt I didn't love & yours is love at first sight!
