So I bought a treadmill yesterday...

Yesterday's workout was getting the behemoth downstairs, and assembled. This morning Dave Grohl and I did 2 miles. I've decided to add a new ticker, 50 miles by Easter. That's ambitious, but we'll see. 50 miles/21 days. eep! This beast has some features my former (many moons ago) walker did not. It's super basic but has (I LOVE it!) a calorie counter. I assume the thing's configured to some 125 pound wisp, but still. I can see just how long it takes my lumbering hulk to trot off the girl scout cookies that I found in my mouth yesterday.

I'm quilting the bra quilt today. I am, I am, I am. I think.

It was good to see a nice picture of your face this morning. You are no longer what I call a "burka blogger" -- blogs with pictures of authors partially covered or blocked in some way.
I don't know where I'd put a treadmill in our little house, but it sure would be nice to have one when the rainy season arrives. My lane walks (since 2/2/2007) are now a regular thing with me and I don't want to stop for the weather.

Dorothy, you look beautiful! I can't wait to fly to Vermont and party with you when you make your goal!

Check the directions on your treadmill for a feature that lets you set your weight. Mine has it when I choose the kind of walking workout I want. It really, really puts a reality check to foods. When it takes a mile to burn off 100 calories, I think twice about what goes in my mouth.

Apparently, Debra, this clever machine has a weight sensor that calculates calorie use based on the weight of the user. Who knew!? Perhaps I should call this monster Big Brother - with the weight thing, BP monitor, and odometer, there's not much about me it doesn't know.

That sounds like quite the fancy machine. Should be great having it handy. Your new picture looks great.

I'm just so glad you bought the treadmill -- fancy gadgets or not. I am to the point with mine that I actually enjoy it!

BTW, was looking at the Vermont Quilt Festival info last night. Is June/July a nice time to visit Vermont? Are you near?

YAY treadmill!! I got a new elliptical trainer last year as I live in an upper story apartment and felt sorry for my landlords with all the pounding my treadmill produced. It has been gathering dust recently though. Arrrrggghhh! Need to come for a visit and get more motivated again.
I actually love my treadmill more but my socail conscious wins out most of the time!!
Enjoy!!
