Yesterday's storm was much less *everything* than expected. School was closed in anticipation of drive-time sleet that never really happened. I woke up at 7:00 to about 5 inches of fresh snow. I was outside by 7:30 and was at the end of the driveway a minute or two before 9. That should just about take care of the "supper" I grabbed Thursday night on my chauffeur runs. Was there anything healthy about that choice? No, but 5" of snow x 60' of driveway probably = that awesome treat. I savoured every single bite.
Simon is just taking a break from fort building in the snow. Before he came in I asked him to throw some loose snowballs at the center panel of the kitchen window. There's been a drip of something on the outside for more than a week and it's been driving me to distraction. It's gone. :o)

I would need wipers outside all my windows, since we get mostly rain here in the NW.
Mmmmmmmm Dollies! Well Hello!!!
Great way to wash windows! Here in Chicagoland it is still snowing. I love my neighbor who snow blows the sidewalks for us. I think I need to make them a thank-you post card.
mmm-7 layer bars!
That is my style of cleaning!
Dorothy, you must be a wonderful cook from some of the recipes and pictures you post. Makes it hard to diet, huh? I have a friend who likens it to a smoker who works in a cigarette factory trying to quit. And you can quit smoking completely and forever, but you can't quit eating. You probably burned up a half-dozen of those delicious things with the morning's shovel patrol.
Jane Ann, I like to think I'm a pretty good cook, but I didn't make those bars. That's a stock image from the Borden website. We have a chain of gas station/convenience stores here called Maplefields and they have the most amazing selection of baked goodies. It's usually better for me to get my gas at the Citgo or something - bait and tackle is easier to resist. ;o)
