Overdone? probably.

I think I need to back off *stuff* for a bit. I'm sore and tired and cranky. I'm not one to sit around and do nothing, especially when it's so glorious outside, but maybe tomorrow I need to spend some chair time reading a good book. At least I can be outside. We went for a walk in the woods today, down to the creek. It was nice - warm, bug-free and muddy. What could be better? The little crocus is a volunteer, or maybe a gift from the squirrels. I've never planted crocuses here, and our house is the first on this spot. There are no others, just this one sweet white crocus in the middle of the trees. Nice.

I got the borders on the map, and it's sandwiched but not basted. It looks good, I think. Or good enough, anyway. I've decided to follow some wisdom offered here and quilt latitude and longitude and call it done. Done is good.
I realized last night that the new scarf was developing a bit of a list. With slightly too thin needles, and all the increase/decrease going the same way, it was beginning to twist around on itself. So I pulled it all out and started over. 4.5mm needles, up from 3.5. Too loose, so I pulled all that out, split the difference and went with 4.0mm, switching the left pattern so it mirrors the right. I think it looks fine, and it's knitting up fast. Fast is also good.
