Well, I don't know what I was so afraid of

The boobs are bound. I cut the binding as planned Wednesday, but the quilt wasn't dry when I had time to do any sewing Thursday, so I went and spent some quality time with the treadmill instead. Worked for me.

Today, the binding went on. Easily. I sat at the counter before and after dinner and sewed it down to the back. Easily. It's relatively flat, mostly square. It does need another spin through the washer - there was some dye migration and alas, one of the poor dears is sporting some ugly blue bruises as a result. This quilt hasn't been near any heat since that wet-down, so I'm sure it'll come out. And if it doesn't? Life goes on. I'm glad to see the end of this one in sight.

Bit more: I just finished the scarf too! And the map of the world? I have decided to follow a few suggestions (thank you!) and machine quilt latitude and longitude. I mean, ferepetesake, the thing will be up high away from sticky fingers, in an elementary school library, for perhaps a month or two out of the year. Hand quilting ain't necessary. Yeah!!

Hi Dorothy.. first thing "The Boobs are Bound". I have to stop reading backwards in the blog. I'm glad that the quilted boobs are almost finished. And I hope that everything goes well with yours.. AND Happy Easter. Is it snowing there?
