I got the top for Maureen completely pieced today - it's 5 x 7 (56" x 78"ish.) I'll set it aside while I piece Alice's top. I have very close to the right number of blocks, and I'm glad. All the sashing strips are cut, all the cornerstones are cut - all that remains is hours of endless, monotonous straight seaming. ;o)
I'd have taken a picture, but I mislaid the SD card for my camera. Scott tells me they've now come out with a compact card that's about 1/4th the size of this teeny tiny SD. As far as I'm concerened, that essentially makes them disposable. I know I'd lose it, repeatedly. What I need is a bigger card, about the size of a dinner plate. With a tether.
I could have snapped a pic and saved it to the camera's tiny built in memory, but there were already a few pictures there, and I had no way of getting them off the camera without the card. Simon left for a week at Keewaydin today. I hope he's having fun, it's quiet around here, and I actually had to wrap up leftovers from supper. :o)
I told him I needed to take a picture of him so I'd have something current to give the search party. ;o) "mama" (eyeroll.) Sorry honey. I hope you have a fabulous week, and I hope that brilliant blue sky lasts until Friday.

What a sweet boy (sorry Simon). Looks like he's almost a teenager.
Good, I am not the only mama who memorized what they were wearing when they left for school, etc.
Safe, fun trip Simon!
I am SO forgetful! I've had to force myself to keep stuff in the very same place all the time...camera AND USB in the camera case. Otherwise I'd have not a chance!
Enjoy your quieter house, it's just a warm-up, he'll be spending more and more time hanging out with friends before you know it!
Good progress on Penny! 8^)
Simon is 12, and yes, I know he'll soon be away more than he's here. He's a good kid, I'm not worried.
