There are only a few television shows I remember watching as a kid - Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights, Room 222, American Bandstand on Saturday afternoons, Hockey Night in Canada, and Laugh-In.
My mom was a fan of the soaps, her stories, and would watch Lawrence Welk and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom if the opportunity presented itself, but not us kids. Laugh-In, and a Canadian series called The Pig and Whistle were my dad's favourites, after hockey of course. Sometimes we'd sneak downstairs to watch, too. To me, it did, and sometimes still does, seem absolutely apropos to end an original work of poetic genius with "by Henry Gibson." Verrrrrryyy eeenteresting.
Goodnight, Dick.

Now there's something I'd like to catch on reruns!
reruns sure would help with some of the 'jokes' the girlies don't get!
I rent Laugh In episodes through Netflix. They aren't as funny as I remember, but just the nostalgia is worth it.
I used to work with a guy who said I was just like Joanne Worley.
Sock it to me.
Joanne Worley? Then I shall be Ruth Buzzi.
HA HA!!
Remember how she played the old woman with the hair net, and would hit the dirty old man with her purse?
I want to do that sometimes at work.
