Sister quilt of the much photographed Penny quilt. Again, it would have benefitted from a run through the washer - my lines are NOT straight, but such is life. I wouldn't DARE get this thing wet, who knows what magic is holding most of those images on!
It was odd getting up at 6 this morning and not sewing for an hour. I mean, I could have worked on Crazy for Spring, but gee it felt nice to enjoy no looming deadline.
Maureen and Alice retire in 2 weeks. Their retirement dinner is thins evening, and they will be presented with these two quilts. Me? I'm going to find a speech therapist and work on this impediment I've developed. Under pressure, I'm finding it difficult to put "n" and "o" sounds together. It's becoming a problem.

Maybe you don't have to say "no" exactly. Maybe you could just quote a very, very high price for labor instead?

As soon as I finish this patient's commissioned quilt I am learning that NO word too.
Man it's hard making something for someone you don't know well enough .If she hates the roses quilt I'll gift it to a friend and give her her check back.

NO is hard for me, too. But I think zazzu has the right answer: quote a high price for the labor. That oughtta keep the riffraff out, anyway.
Or you can do like I do and keep moving gazillion miles away where NO one knows who you are and what you do. Seems drastic, but it works.
Oh heck, I still have a commission looming from my LAST RESIDENCE, mu-ha-ha! What do I know.
