Weekend Update

No pictures today, my biggest accomplishments this week aren't photograph-able, and besides, I can't find my camera.

So what did I do this week? Made travel arrangements for Scott. then changed them. and again. and again. I think they won't change again, though, because if they do, my kids are going to learn some new, powerful words. "It's not the words that are bad, dearest, it's the accompanying emotion with which they are uttered. And the volume."

'nuff about that. I got all the HSTs sewn for Alana's quilt. again. No trimming or pressing yet, but that will happen this week. I also took out the little bit of quilting I'd done on the Make Way for Ducklings round of my (ahem) Done By Christmas Nesting Robin. Yes. I'd started stitching little ducky footprints, but my hand stitches are too big and the border area too small to make them look like anything more than a mess. Instead, I've marked a brick pattern to represent the old brick pathways in Boston's Public Garden. Should be easy to stitch and a nice look as well.

I do believe I'm taking a personal day tomorrow. Coffee with a friend to kick off the Daffodil Days event for the American Cancer Society, kids all in school, Scott on an airplane heading west, then wester. Maybe I'll grab a book and a cat and spend the rest of the day on the couch.

Sounds like a perfect plan.
