Friday Flashback

It's Saturday, but yesterday was a write-off so I'll do this today instead.
I had a migraine, knocked me flat, or would have if I'd had the luxury of being horizontal. With Scott away, Tori home sick, and no school for Daniel, I remained painfully, mostly upright for as long as I could. When the Cute Boyfriend went to bed at 8:30, so did I.

The last time I remember being so undone by head pain was just after Daniel was born. He might have been a month old. Once again, Scott was out of town. The two bigger kids were at school and I was home with a little baby who relied on me for everything. Lying on the couch with this squalling bundle on my chest I wondered what I was going to do. He was crying, seemed like a good idea so I did too. After an eternity a little while he fell asleep, and then thankfully, so did I. Three hours later(!) I woke up in exactly the same position with a soggy, bald, grey-eyed angel watching me, but not a peep out of him. Almost 5 years later his eyes are now brown, and there was no bribe great enough to keep him quiet. Under that head of hair, his horns have grown in. ;o)

Ugh; hope you're feeling better now.

Sweet/horrible memory of your little one napping on your chest. Mine liked to do the same thing; I swear it felt like he weighed a thousand pounds. Now he weighs five times as much and his plotzing across me doesn't bother me at all.

I hope you feel all better very soon. You've had a bunch of those lately-my simpathy-migrains make inter-action with small human beings nearly impossible. Big ones don't fair much better around here.
