The kids are home from school today. The forecast 6-8 inches of snow is turning out to be closer to 6, but super wet and very heavy. The snow overnight turned to ice this morning and rain, then wet snow this afternoon. I did (eventually) go out and plow, but I suspect all I've really done is polish up the driveway with the Zamboni.
Yesterday I cut that pile of blue and green scraps into a smaller pile of more uniform scraps. Today Tori and I sorted them into groups of 10, and I started sewing. I'm not sure what I think yet, and there's certainly not anything photo-worthy yet. If this quilt becomes what I imagine, I suspect there will have to be a fabric purchase. But we'll see when the time comes. In the meantime, if you want to see some pretty piecing, look what Dee claims to have just thrown together. Pretty, yes? Lucky baby!
I think tonight I'll do some hand quilting. Or maybe I'll go to bed at 9:30. Can't imagine that both is a possibility, but again, we'll see when the time comes.
