I could, but I won't.

I could spend an hour here listing constructive things one could accomplish in 5 years - paying off a car loan, getting a couple of college degrees, being born and finishing preschool. Or a list of destructive things - clearing 30,000 acres of Amazon rain forest, watching 900 feet of the Upsala Glacier melt, burying thousands of husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers ... but I won't. We've all got lists, we've all got agendas, and I think today I won't share any more of mine.

What I'll share, instead, is a picture of what can happen in just under 3 years. Palate expander, headgear, elastic, DOUBLE elastics. no more. Doesn't she look happy? $5400 worth of happy, in fact. (and please notice the neckbrace headphones.)

Is that ever a happy smile and a mechanical larynx!

If she doesn't wear her retainer I'm never gonna speak to her again!

Super smile! Good teeth are really important, and not just for looks (duh).

Ditto on the nag about wearing one's retainer. Otherwise, one will need braces again in her twenties. I worked with several women who had to repeat the braces ordeal just because they hadn't worn their retainers. DUMB!

Oh she'll wear her retainers (yup, plural - top and bottom) even if I have to pry her teeth apart every night to jam them in there.

Yahoo, T! And there never was a happier girl than the one who just got all that expensive hardware removed :) That, my friend, is PRICELESS.

I remember that day so vividly myself! All those suddenly slippery teeth! If you can find any old photos of me at that age we could seriously be twins! Congrats, big time!
