Hey quilters! Do you use batiks? Do you love them? Are the ones direct from Bali just about the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen? Yeah, I know.
Katherine Bramhall, a Vermont mid-wife is a woman with a humble request to meet a spectacular goal. She is asking mothers, a million of them, to send her $1 to build a birth clinic in Bali to replace the far over-stretched resources of Bumi Sehat, a clinic in Nyuh Kuning Village run by Ibu Robin Lim. 100% of every dollar will go toward the purchase of land, and the construction of this much needed medical facility. Can you spare a dollar?
Is this a scam? I doubt it, but we each need to make our own call. If you want to donate but are uncomfortable doing so online, mail Katherine a dollar. Bali has given us, as quilters so much. Can we give a little back? Here's some more info, and clickable links.

Blessed women,
Katherine Bramhall here. I found your posting about YBS and my heart is so grateful for your "leap of faith." Thank you for posting this and helping me with this initiative. Currently, after 11 days we have collected over $4000 from all over the world. But Vermont has been, by far, the most generous. I am moved so deeply by this...surrounded by so many amazingly heart-centered people.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let's keep it going~
Love and gratitude,
Katherine
