This week seemed to last a month! My annual truck inspection expired on Monday, but I couldn't get an appointment for a this year's once over until Wednesday. So I walked. All over. I (carefully!) drove the truck over Tuesday afternoon, then walked the mile home, picking up a few grocery things on the way. Wednesday morning I was back in business after walking over to pick the truck up. I'm good until August(?) 2009. That's what the sticker says.
We got the brush cleared to the pear tree, just as I'd hoped. I actually got that far Thursday, and so began this week's section. Just beyond the left edge of this picture is a stump from a dead pine tree Scott cut down earlier this year. We'll shoot for that. A lot of the green is jewelweed, which very often indicates poison ivy is present as well. So far no problem, but I'm keeping my eyes open. This is the area where I got nabbed several years ago, up the leg of my shorts. And they weren't long shorts.
Scott brought home this little cutey on Thursday - it works GREAT for getting out little stumps and cutting off branches that are too big for the loppers. The manual bow saw works, but, whew, it's a lot of work. The reciprocating saw is kinda like the mother of all electric turkey knives. Same principal, way awesomer results.Did I sew this week? Did I knit? Did I even *think* about any sort of needlework? Well, I did buy a couple of cute bag patterns at VQF on Sunday. The Charm Party Tote, and the multi-sizeable, change the strap-able Bridget Bag both fun, both cute! Both completely ignored since Sunday because (see above) I didn't even *think* about needlework this week. Well, that's not entirely true. I've been pondering a Christmas card design. But it's still nothing more than ponderances.

I have to ask, what is Jump Camp?
Jump Camp is a Girl Scout program - they teach girls aged 1st grade to 5th I think different jump rope routines. On Friday afternoon they put on a show for parents. Tori's been a Girl Scout forever, still is, and she's one of the coaches. It's a great workout (especially considering most of the venues are NOT air conditioned.)
