This little quilt is almost done. I quilted it yesterday, and after taking the picture, I cut and applied the binding. It needs to be sewn down, I want to add some buttons, then a label and I'm done. 16 1/2" and I think it's pretty cute! I'm not a big fan of Americana, but I suspect the intended recipient is, and I think this qualifies. The binding is blue, the same little scrap of blue I used for the borders and little nine patches in the corners. It's now, for all intents, gone. The back is pieced using four 10" squares from a long forgotten swap. The red and white are stash, too, though not scrap stash like the blue - there's still a foldable chunk left.
I'll finish it tonight, I hope, but it won't go in the mail for a while. The mailing deadline is November 10, I'll wait until the middle of October at least.
Later...

I realized I have a meeting this evening, so no handwork time. So I went ahead and finished it. Still needs a label, but that's quick. Even the buttons came from my stash - I was hoping to find a nice enough selection of different blue buttons, but couldn't. Then I dug for antique mother of pearl buttons, but could only find 9, not twelve. So I grabbed 6 blue, 6 white(ish) and called it done. And it is. :o)
