Another productive week, though I really don't feel like I accomplished much. It was hot and humid so I tried to avoid being outside as much as possible. A few weeks ago I had picked up this Sterlite box for Scott - he needed something about this size for a project he's working on, but it was about an inch too shallow for his needs. But for me? It's a PERFECT project box! And inside, my next little project - a stack of bitty (2.25") nine patches for my ALQS quilt. Remarkable what I can accomplish with 30 minutes a day.

But while I tried to stay inside, outside my new lettuce crop got started. Despite being in the wide, wide open, no one appears to have any interest in nibbling. The spinach, except for one little sprout, appears to have no interest in a return engagement though. Boo.

We're still eating lots of tomatoes, every day, and by all appearances will keep it up until frost. Inde- terminate plants, like many tomatoes, will continue to grow and flower and set fruit until they die. Here that'll be by frost, within the next month I'd guess.

I've started pulling up the Weather Channel website along with my calendar program when I plan the week's menu. September can by 80º one day and 60º the next - I'm not going to plan to grill burgers if it's raining, and no one wants pancakes when it's super humid. Tricky.
