Are those elderberries? My grandma used to send us kids out to pick them and she'd make jam, and pies, and I think she hid a cache of elderberry wine, too.
Rian, they are elderberries. My neighbour doesn't grow them for food - every year when the robins migrate south an entire flock descends, and for about 12 hours pick the bushes clean. It's a remarkable thing to see. This year the robins were early and the berries were late. The turkeys will eat them this winter instead.

Really? REALLY?? I am smiling down here in Georgia... But I was hoping you would have something to contrast the hate I read elsewhere.
It's been along time since something political caused me to tear up with joy. What a day!

I can't believe your wordless today either (Thursday).
Lovely. I should try that wordless thing myself.
