I'm usually not so indecisive, but that bad white decision has me doubting my opinion. Tori likes the two different yellows. I'm not sure. I have enough of the new fabric to swap the rest of the yellow triangles out so that everything is in the Pin Dot, but not doing it would mean I could spend this afternoon assembling the top instead of re-sewing the other half of the blocks.
Either way, I like this a zillion times more than the white.

I think this will be more interesting than if they were all the same. Plus, I wouldn't want to do any more unsewing than necessary....
Might be too late for this, but this thought flitted through my head, so I thought I'd share! I'd try leaving the two yellows, but rotating the blocks differently so you have a yellow #1 diagonal stripe, a string stripe, a yellow #2 stripe, a string stripe, etc. In my head it works... in your reality, it might be scary!
Keep the 2 different yellows!!
Ok, I voted.
Definitely this way...I'd start sewing those babies together!!
I vote with Tori, Suzanne,Vicky and Quiltinbee...the different yellows look great. Especially with the string blocks, which are varied, too. But then, I'm a big fan of scrappy quilts. To me, they just look so cozy and homey.
I say, go for it!
I agree - keep the two yellows - I'm probably too late - but just wanted to leave my comment anyway.
I'm sure I'm too late - but you know I'm lovin' the two different yellows. Just adds to the scrappy-ness of the quilt top. Its really cute!
