This.

I made these blocks sometime in the past 9 years, for someone whose name and circumstance escape me. Suffice it to say that for whatever reason, whoever it was didn't get their quilt. There are 28 six inch blocks done, several more started, and a few more than that cut, but not sewn. Putting this top together 5 blocks by 7 and doing a loopy meander to quilt it is not outside the realm of possibility. But should I? That green is pretty... GREEN. Really green in fact. But I don't think it's bad, I think. I dunno. Junior could spit up his peas and no one would notice, that's good, right? Was that what I was thinking?
So yes? no? Help!

I'd say yes -- I think it's actually pretty cute. Do you have something baby-ish to put on the back?
I agree with Suzanne. Find something babyish for the backing or maybe a border of something cute and kiddy.
Belated Happy Birthday to you. Sorry I missed your day! The cake looked perfect. I'm all chocolated out as well. Lemon anything counteracts that.
Of course make it - it is so pretty. And they say that green is the new pink (blue) - so go ahead with green. I think it is kind of fun to receive something surprising - especially since this is an ooops - surprise!!!!
Yes definitely. It will be very special.
I like it -- go for it~
i agree, make. maybe use a fleece on the back instead of sandwiching with batt?
oh oh....use a bright yellow for the outside border/binding. that would draw the eye from the green a bit....i think...
The last baby quilt I made was predominately VERY bright green, more so than I would have liked, but I finished it, gave it, and the mother LOVED it! She was very happy to get something that was bright and cheery instead of pastel...I say go for it!! I think your blocks are cool..I always love that block..
I REALLY love those blocks, Dorothy! No such thing as too green. And if you found a cute kidprint to use for the border that would just make the quilt. Go for it...lucky baby!
I say go for it too! I love those blocks.. and as Dianne said..you can NEVER have too much green!
Positively yes! I love the green.
Well, I'm glad you all agree, 'cause I started assembling it this afternoon when I got home from work. I hope to get the top together tomorrow.
oh heck yes, this is going to be perfect for the new baby.
woops! I see you already started putting it together. :)
Perfect. The thing that catches my eye is that my brain is interpreting the blocks as tilted stars. Fascinating.
