The Day Before Christmas

What have we got this week...? Oh, This! Grandma's Scrap Bin #2 is done. Done done, done! Well, no label, but DONE! This counts as my September finish, too! Woo!

And GSB #1 is well started. I've got more than half the blocks done, the rest of them partly so, and they're fast, so they'll all be done by this time next week. Perhaps even assembled into a top? Maybe. Quilted? Doubtful. I do have a backing for it, but no single piece of batting large enough. I wonder if Joann's has a sale.

Is that it? I think it is. The red scarf is getting longer, but gee, the ball of yarn doesn't seem to be getting any smaller... I'll stop when I get to 5 feet, or when the yarn runs out. Whichever comes first. Pics when that happens. And I think I'll take some time this week to test drive a pattern for a cute little girl purse. I'll share that, good or bad, next week.

I love what you did with that scrap bin & I tried your beef barley soup last night (stove top with "quick cook" barley.) yum.

I love scrappy quilts and yours are gorgeous. They make me happy just to look at them.
