Last week it was lovely, cool and occasionally raining. People whined that summer was, sob, ooooover! Pshaw. 2 days of rain and 70º does not spell the end of summer, it's what you were begging for all long, hot summer, people! So, summer's back, with a vengeance. The forecast for today is 98º. 86º at 9:30 suggests we're headed that way. This is gross. I would gladly accept an extra February for the promise of nothing above 85º all summer. But no go.
Yesterday was also hot, 93º, so I got all I needed to do done before lunch. Including this. The first of the tomatoes are canned and ready for that extra February I ordered. I love the way my pantry's starting to look. :o)
