Honestly, I didn't sew every day, but the days I did, I sewed well over 30 minutes. Nic's top is assembled, I'll post pictures on Wednesday with my Christmas update. And all the blocks, all 100 of them, for the raffle quilt for Ellie are sewn, pressed and trimmed. I'll lay them out and assemble perhaps tomorrow when I have some space on the floor to spread out without getting into someone's XBox or homework or something else way. Next week (Wednesday) everyone goes back to school and some semblance of routine returns. Can't wait.

Tonight is the final Monday night band concert, summer's on it's way out. We missed it last week, it was raining. Tonight we'll get a pizza and spread a blanket and listen to the band until it gets dark at 8:00. That is, if it stops raining! Sweatshirts tonight, though, the high is projected to only reach 65ยบ.

I missed adding Vergennes Day to the calendar yesterday. Our little city celebrates itself this Saturday, starting with pancakes at the fire station, followed by a 5/10k race, live music at the bandstand and the Opera House, sidewalk sales, a book sale at the library, vendors on the green, barbecued chicken from the Lions. One year they set a tree on fire. Oops. Again, can't wait.

Gotta scoot. The delivery guys are bringing our new memory foam mattress this morning and I need to strip the bed and vaccuum. The gift for a 24th anniversary *is* latex, right? No comment. I mean it.
