So, there was much wheel spinning this week, both literally (it snowed, a bunch) and figuratively. I accomplished only as much as I needed to, and not a single thing more. I'm turning into a bear, I think. All I want to do is hibernate (and eat when I'm not sleeping). I find myself scratching my back against various vertical surfaces. And ooooh, am I crabby when the cub gets underfoot. I'm so far into the transformation, in fact, that I probably need to switch toilet paper brands.

I did try to get into the idea of the garden themed raffle quilt, and I just can't. I think I'm greened out for a little while. I'm going to make some mindless scrappy log cabin blocks or HSTs and see what it turns into. Usually I can follow the vision in my head, but there's nothing there, yet, so I'll see what I can inspire.

I think part of my funk was the number of times I got myself keyed up for a big stressful event, based on the reports from people who had already been there/done that, and every single one turned out to be less. Less effort, less time, less stress. Ordinarily that'd be a good thing, but the repeated adrenaline build up just wore me out. Car trade in (take the old one now for a new one in the spring) not mine, BYW, but meh. Turns out it's a sit around and wait for the phone to ring thing. FAFSA? I really didn't find the forms difficult. Certainly less so than a standard 1090. You people should do CANADIAN income tax forms circa 1985 - now there's a workout, and no such thing as TurboTax! 3 meetings at the same time? Well, turns out that *some* people (not sayin' who) can't read a calendar.

So. This week is behind me, and that's a good thing. Onward and... onward. 10 weeks 'til spring.

No, the FAFSA isn't difficult, just tedious x 3 kids in school...and I'm a procrastinator (surprise!!)...and didn't really want to know how much we would NOT be getting!
