Oh Goodness!

6 weeks? Eep, sorry 'bout that. But I'm back, and it is, yes finally, spring. We have survived the 3rd snowiest winter on record, the wettest April on record, and as much rain as we normally get in all of May by this, the end of the first weekend. Temperatures are almost 20ยบ below what they should be. Shoot, it snowed above 1500 feet earlier this week! My toes are webbing, and Daniel's drawing up plans for a houseboat, but we're alive and well, and that's really all that matters.

So. Pictures? Here's a few, plus there will be more later in the week. I didn't take this first one, obviously, but it gives some indication of the level of wet we're dealing with.

My yard is at last green (and yellow, a little purple and red too but mostly green.) All my fruit trees survived the winter, as did all the roses and all but one peony. Deep snow cover is good for something!

Today I think I'll let Simon take me to Lowes to perhaps pick up another tree (or 3) and some other fun things. I can honestly say at this time of year I'd rather get Lowes or Home Depot gift cards than a certificate to the fabric store or dinner at a fancy restaurant. That might be true anytime, actually. :o)

So, let's try this again, hmm?
