Where is Margaret Hassan? We have heard very little from her captors since she was taken on October 19th. It's been close to a month since this beautiful woman, who has given her life to the poor of Iraq was ambushed on her way to work. Islamic Relief spokesman Ideel Jafferi publicly stated: "We call for whoever is holding her hostage to think of her family and the good work she is doing in Iraq and release her as soon as possible to let her carry on with the good work. At the request of her captors, on October 27th Mrs. Hassan appeared on video tape and asked that her relief organization stop all work in Iraq, that British troops leave the country, and that all women Iraqi prisoners be released.

Mrs. Hassan seems like an angel, Mother Teresa reincarnated among the poor of Baghdad and Falluja. Seizing her appears to have been a calculated move by whoever it was that did it, but it didn't have the effect they hoped. President Bush and his lapdog Tony Blair cannot and will not admit they might possibly have been wrong, that maybe they *should* release some of the (uncharged, untried) Iraqi woment they are holding, not even for someone like Margaret Hassan.

Beheading Mrs. Hassan will not force George's hand. It will not generate support for the kidnappers among the Iraqi people who were the beneficiaries of her kind hand. Neither will releasing her. What will they do?

Mrs. Hassan, be strong. Know that you are in the hearts of many good people. We hope and (those who do) pray for your safety.
