I've gotta clean my house!!

I did finish that quilting last night after all. I was so close, and I'm too... like that to put something down when it's almost finished. No almost empty boxes of candy in MY house. ;o) On to the diamonds.

I have serious house cleaning to do today. I normally have the downstairs sparkling on Fridays, but with the kids home, and Girl Scout pie baking, it just didn't happen. Yesterday came and went without the vacuum making it beyond the living room. Today, I'll tackle that first thing then get back to Christy's quilt.

Yesterday I picked up a new 6" square ruler. I have one. I might have 2, but I couldn't find it here. Thread Connections in Middlebury carries Creative Grids rulers and darn it, I wanted one. $10, yikes! but there is something magic about those rulers. I need to pick up some new 1/4" grid pads and some colored pencils too and I'll be set for the winter. It's all well and good to stock up on canned goods and water in preparation for the long months ahead, but what good will all the peas and baked beans in the world do if my artist is starving?
