My post of November 25th has kept me busy, and inspired. Each day I try to do something, small or not-so-small to give myself the gifts of thought and kindness. This morning, a particular family has come to my attention. 2 kids, hard working, minimum wage dad, mom doesn't work. They're a couple of parents who make foolish choice both personally and financially. I fear those kids won't have much of a Christmas this year, and I can't let that happen.
Their situation is, of course, not unique. Lots of big people put their wants ahead of their little peoples' needs, and compliments with an ulterior motive, rose coloured pipe dreams, and can't miss get rich quick opportunities turn their heads. This is not, however, the time of year that any child should suffer for his parent's irresponsibility or immaturity.
I'm not sure *what* I'll do, yet, but I must do something. My Christmas fairy is going to be very busy this week. ;o)
